Emanuel Cheraskin, M.D., D.M.D.—Author
Human Health & Homeostasis
“I’ve always been a naturopath.
I just didn’t know it had a name,” Dr. Emanuel
Cheraskin once said.
During his 85 years the internationally renowned
lifestyle researcher authored 24 books and more than 800 scholarly
papers and articles for medical journals and the mass media.
His last book was published by Natural Reader Press and titled
Human Health & Homeostasis.
A professor emeritus at the University of Alabama
School of Medicine, Dr. Cheraskin served as the first Director
of Naturopathic Research at Clayton College of Natural Health.
Although Dr. Cheraskin died on August 3, 2001,
his legacy lives on. While at Clayton College of Natural Health,
Dr. Cheraskin was proud to have completed a multi-year research
study to measure and document the superior health status of
their holistic health graduates.
“It’s very encouraging to see that the healthy
doctrines espoused by Clayton College of Natural Health really
do have an impact,” he said, “first, on students and then, by
their counseling and by personal examples, on those they teach.”
Indeed by his own vibrant example, Dr. Cheraskin
taught many thousands of students how to live healthier lives.
We honor his memory.
